Toyota Celebrates a Milestone with an Open House at Our First U.S. Battery Plant in Liberty, NC! ⚡️🔋 Last month, we proudly hosted an open house at our groundbreaking 1,850-acre facility in Liberty, NC, the only Toyota battery plant outside Japan. This location is expected to create over 5,000 jobs and establish a new North American epicenter for lithium-ion battery assembly. With seven million square feet of space, the facility is already strengthening the U.S. supply chain by shipping HEV modules to Toyota Kentucky and Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Alabama. Backed by nearly $60 billion invested in U.S. manufacturing, this plant's activities will result in a staggering 30 GWh annually to fuel a cleaner, greener future. Jocelin P. has built a remarkable career at Toyota, growing from a temporary team member on the assembly line to a leader of the Toyota Mississippi TODOS chapter. She currently works in the Global Skill-Up Training department, teaching and supporting team members on the fundamentals of the Toyota Production System and helping develop future leaders. Outside of work, Jocelin enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring the outdoors, boating on Pickwick Lake, and taking motorcycle rides with her husband.
