Congratulations to superintendents Ruthie Wynn and Vince Lovett on receiving the Supervisor Safety Award from Alabama AGC! 🎉   In 2024, both maintained a perfect safety record, with zero recordable incidents or lost time, reflecting their strong commitment to job site safety and protecting every individual on their job sites. Ruthie and Vince demonstrate the level of care, professionalism, and safety-focused leadership that strengthens our company. It was an inspiring evening that highlighted the mentorship and positive impact BBBS continues to make in our community. We are grateful for the chance to support such meaningful work.

On Friday, some of our team members spent the day volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Alabama! We are proud to contribute to their mission of building safe and affordable homes for local families 🏡 We value every opportunity to support our community and are proud of our team for their commitment to service.

We are proud to announce the completion of the Jimmy H. Baker Center for the Arts at Enterprise State Community College, a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility designed to foster performance, creativity, and community engagement in the Wiregrass region. Named in honor of Chancellor Jimmy H. Baker, the center features a 600-seat auditorium with professional-grade theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging systems, as well as a two-story academic wing with modern classrooms and instructional spaces. We are grateful to the Alabama Community College System and Enterprise State Community College for trusting White-Spunner Construction as Construction Manager. “White-Spunner Construction is thankful that we are able to assist the Community College System navigate this project,” said Jeff Carrico, President and Chief Operations Officer. We are also proud of our team — Project Executive Justin Thorpe, Assistant Superintendent Billy Lowe, and Project Coordinator Mary Landrum — for their leadership and dedication to delivering this transformative project. White-Spunner Construction had the pleasure of joining Bishop State Community College’s 4th Annual Trunk or Treat last night! Our Touch-A-Truck activity was a hit, with hundreds of kids stopping by to meet our team and grab a piece of their favorite candy. We’re always grateful for opportunities like this to connect with our community and celebrate the season. 🎃🍭

Our CEO, John White-Spunner, recently spoke at Future Leaders in Construction, a series designed to develop the next generation of industry professionals. He shared his insights on effective leadership and the skills needed to drive meaningful impact in the construction field. It was an honor to engage with such a talented group of young changemakers who will shape the construction industry for years to come.

Our team had a great time at the Downtown Mobile Alliance Annual Luncheon! We enjoyed hearing from local author Cam Marston on the topic of generational differences in the workplace — especially fitting since our group represented every generation currently in the workforce. It was also a pleasure catching up with friends and community leaders, including City of Mobile, AL Mayor-Elect Spiro Cheriogotis, pictured here with our Senior Project Manager, Scott Rowe. We’re proud to be part of the momentum driving Downtown Mobile’s growth and success, and inspired by the collaboration that continues to move our city forward.
