✨ Local art and design don’t just decorate a space, they unite the people in it When we set out to create Adorn, we wanted it to be more than a store; we imagined a place where design, art, and community could truly come together. With the help of Gensler, that vision came to life. Every detail of our downtown Denver space was designed to evolve, to host gatherings, showcase local makers, and inspire creativity in every form. It’s been amazing to see this space grow into exactly what we hoped for: a hub for connection, collaboration, and design. 💛 https://lnkd.in/gUU5e3Mh

  • What an inspiring day! 🌟 We loved seeing the creativity and innovation these students brought to the table. Such thoughtful, functional, and fun designs. Collaborations like this remind us why we’re so passionate about supporting the next generation of designers. 💡👏 Well done everyone!

💡 Our Beginning Industrial Design Studio students are lighting up the workplace! Exciting day at the Workplace Resource Denver showroom, where students turned classroom creativity into real-world workplace solutions, presenting their final lighting designs. This semester, Metropolitan State University of Denver Department of Industrial Design students explored the intersection of creativity, craftsmanship, and function, designing clever lamps that make workspaces smarter, more functional, and a little more fun. (Peep the Toucan!) With guidance and critique from professionals at Workplace Resource, this collaboration proves that great design isn’t just about looks — it’s about impact, usability, and connecting students to industry professionals. We couldn’t pick a favorite, they were all so impressive! ✨ Which design brightened your day? #IndustrialDesign #Design #LightingDesign #StudentShowcase

  • Celebrating design collaboration + emerging talent 💡 This semester, Metropolitan State University of Denver Industrial Design Studio 2450 students partnered with Adorn for a client-based project; designing a table or lamp that embodies the Adorn aesthetic. ✨ After a tour of the showrooms in August and a mid-project critique, we had the pleasure of hosting the students in our showroom for their final critiques. They presented full-scale mockups, walked us through their design process, and shared their visions for the future of their pieces. The creativity and attention to detail is truly inspiring! Following the presentations, a few student designs will be selected to be displayed in the Adorn showroom, a tangible reflection of this meaningful collaboration between academia and industry. A huge thank you to Metropolitan State University of Denver and Professor David Klein for the opportunity to support and engage with emerging design talent. Another thank you to Matt Spaniol, Meghan Meehan, and Tina Pilger for critiquing the projects and providing meaningful feedback. We’re excited to continue fostering connections that celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and community! ✏️ 📒 🎉

  • We love celebrating the accomplishments of our team, today, we want to highlight Meghan Meehan and their project featured in the Modern In Denver Publication! “I had the opportunity to design and build several custom elements for this project, all crafted with intention and detail: ▪️Back bar casework - tailored specifically to hold records and vintage speakers, built from white oak plywood. ▪️Backlit screens - designed with a CNC router and finished with translucent paper for a soft, rice - paper effect, illuminated with LEDs. ▪️DJ booth & entryway planters - including a Kumiko-inspired screen built by hand using a traditional Japanese woodworking technique. ▪️Custom light-up sign - CNC-cut, laser-engraved with their logo on translucent plexiglass, then detailed with acrylic paint. This project was a chance to merge design with hands-on making, combining digital tools like CNC and laser cutting with traditional craftsmanship. I loved bringing these details to life!” – Meghan Meehan Every achievement, deserves to be celebrated. Join us in congratulating Meghan Meehan on this exciting feature! 👏
