This week at Insurtech on the Silicon Prairie, our Head of Insurance Platforms, George A. Esposito Jr., shared Zinnia’s vision for the future of life and annuities — one where technology and partnership come together to make insurance simpler, more connected, and more human. George spoke about how the industry stands at an inflection point: with $440B in annual premiums and growing, we have an incredible opportunity - and responsibility - to make protection and predictable income more accessible to more families. His message was clear: “Insurance doesn’t need more point solutions — it needs platforms.” By modernizing together - carriers, distributors, and technology partners - we can make it easier for people to protect their loved ones, and for retirees to enjoy financial confidence in a longer-living world. At Zinnia, our purpose is simple: to simplify insurance - enabling our partners to deliver better experiences, faster innovation, and greater peace of mind for the people they serve. A heartfelt thank you to the Insurtech on the Silicon Prairie organizers and for bringing the community together, and to everyone who joined us for the great conversations and engagement throughout the event. Together, we can reimagine what’s possible for this industry - and for the millions of lives it impacts every day. #TooImportantNotToShare #FinancialLongevity

This past week, at our Greenwich headquarters, we convened a select group of leaders shaping the future of life insurance and retirement protection. Among them were heads of industry associations, leading analysts, management consultants, distribution executives, reinsurers, and system integrators — all united by a shared vision: to simplify insurance, reduce friction, and build the modern rails that will provide protection and guaranteed income for the next generation of consumers. Gary D. Cohn, Laura Pantaleo, Jordan M. Teel, and Michele Trogni shared their perspectives on the change we must collectively drive to expand the reach and impact of insurance. Ash Sawhney explained the need for the industry to build strong partnerships in order for create the digital environment that consumers, agents, advisors, distributors, and carriers need. George A. Esposito Jr. described how we’re reinventing the TPA model as a platform built for scale, growth, and stronger partner experiences. Hilani Kerr painted a future — one that’s already beginning — where every financial plan embeds protection within the portfolio, seamlessly uniting wealth and financial longevity. Through digital distribution, that vision becomes reality, fueling growth across life and annuities. Michael Celi brought that vision to life with live demonstrations of what our platform already delivers to customers today. Finally, Brad Medd underscored the importance of advancing emerging industry standards — in partnership with IRI, LIMRA and carriers — to reduce costs and eliminate inefficiencies across the value chain. We’re deeply grateful to all who joined us for our first Partner Forum — and inspired by what we can build together in 2026 and beyond. #TooImportantNotToShare #FinancialLongevity #lifeinsurance #annuities

I was with the Zinnia leadership team last week as part of their 2025 Partners Forum. The highlight of the day for me was a wonderful panel hosted by Michele Trogni that included Laura Pantaleo, Gary D. Cohn, and Jordan M. Teel. Gary said something that struck me. The way that financial products are bought and sold has changed profoundly for almost every asset class over the last couple decades, with the exception of life insurance and annuities. I had two take-a-ways from Gary’s comment. One, we have a responsibility at LIMRA and LOMA to work with our members to make it easier for consumers to buy our products and easier for advisors to sell our products. Two, as we spend time on this, let’s not use some unfinished work as an excuse to avoid these solutions. Life insurance and annuities offer unique protection that almost every American needs. It’s hard for me to imagine an efficient asset allocation for most individuals without either of these solutions.
