Freezing viewport layers in AutoCAD drawings

- [Instructor] We're staying in our New Metal Plate.dwg file, and what we're going to have a look at now is how we can freeze layers in our current viewport. What I'd like you to do, obviously we're still in the sections and elevations layout tab at the moment. Let's go to the plan view layout tab. Now you can see there's lots of different objects being displayed in that viewport. Now those objects are in the Model tab. You can see your dimensions, there's dimensions there, circles, arcs, et cetera. In the plan view though, in the plan view layout tab, you're looking at that through a viewport. So imagine that viewport is kind of like a hole in the sheet of paper, and you're looking through into the Model tab into model space. What you can do is you can freeze layers in this current viewport. Now, obviously we've only got the one viewport in this particular layout tab, but what you can do is you can work with your current viewport and you can obviously make the necessary changes. So…
