- [Instructor] Once again, we're staying in our GroundFloorPlan_Rev5.dwg file. Now I've mentioned layer states previously, and we're going to take a look at layer states now and how they work with you with your AutoCAD drawings. Now, layer states allow you to save specific layer settings in each specific layer state. So it may be that you want to change layer colors, for example, to highlight an area in your AutoCAD drawing. And what you do is you save an existing layer state, and in essence, a highlighted layer state that stands out on the drawing. Now what we're going to do there is basically make sure that our layer states are set appropriately so that we can highlight our landscaped area here. So these three lines on the bike base. Now what I'm going to do is make sure that my layers panel is expanded out.
