- In this workshop, we will use AI tools offered by Google under the name Gemini. Now, in the past, some of these tools had the name Bard, but now that name has been retired, and the name Gemini is applied to both the end user tools that we'll see in this workshop and the language models that are used to power these tools. If you want to try Gemini, you can get started for free right now by going to gemini.google.com. You'll need to sign in with a Google account, but it works with a free account. This is a great way to start getting familiar with the basic tools. Now, using the menu near the top left, even without a free account, there are a few different language models you can choose to work with. The 2.0 flash model is a good starting point, but there are upgraded subscriptions that you can buy, which will enable other language models and additional features.
