- [Instructor] Okay, this one's cool. We can actually select two objects and find where the shortest distance between the two items are. Lots of times you can take a measurement and think it's accurate, but there could be a bump or a dip in one of the two items that you either can't see or just don't notice. By using the shortest distance command we're going to see exactly where the closest point is between the items selected. Let's jump into Navisworks and go to open. We'll grab our Navisworks essentials and open that up. I'm going to go to my roof, so I'm going to walk over to my roof. Remember, I'm going to hold down my scroll button. I'm going to zoom in again, come down a little bit here. Now what we can do is let's go ahead and click on the select items button. Hold down your control key, maybe zoom in a little more.
