What should I leave OUT of my resume? ❌ ❌ ❌ For a competitive federal resume, do not include: -Classified or government sensitive information -Social Security Number (SSN) -Photos of yourself -Personal information, such as age, gender, religious affiliation, etc. -Encrypted and digitally signed documents For information on what applicants SHOULD include on their resume, check out: https://lnkd.in/gfAykfBq

USAJOBS - sadly your process keeps the most qualified people from reaching a hiring manager. You are trying to do the right thing, but many awesome profiles get tangled in the process and get dropped out.

USAJOBs is hard I didn’t screen for a job that I’ve done for 14 years I tailored the resume and somehow still missed the mark

Experience greater than 10 years may inadvertently age you; also drop the years from your degrees. Keep them for certifications; especially those that you renew every few years. Credentials and degrees will be validated by transcripts and supporting documents.

Thank you, USAJOBS not to add personal information on the resume. Submitted my on-line application & resume attachments to WWW.USAJOBS.GOV/CAREERS Harolyn Ann Holmes 01/17/2025@3:19AM Pacific Standard Time Zone.

This was an interesting and informative post.
