AI presents both uncertainty and immense opportunity—a theme that defined our Forthlane Forum session on “Canada’s AI Advantage: Industry, Innovation, and Impact.” Shannon Bell, Yang Han and Mark Shulgan joined Forthlane's founder, Ken Grewal, to discuss how Canada can lead not just in developing AI, but in deploying it responsibly. With our strong regulatory frameworks, ethical research community, and culture of inclusion, Canada is uniquely positioned to balance progress with purpose. In an age of accelerating change, responsible leadership may be our greatest competitive advantage. #AI #ResponsibleInnovation #TechnologyLeadership #CanadaAI #ForthlaneForum #DigitalTransformation
How can investors participate in the AI revolution without getting lost in the hype? That question drove much of the conversation during Forthlane Forum's session, “Canada’s AI Advantage: Industry, Innovation, and Impact,” featuring Shannon Bell (OpenText), Yang Han (StackAdapt), and Mark Shulgan (Intrepid Growth Partners), moderated by Forthlane Partners's Founder, Ken Grewal. Panelists explored how AI is reshaping every sector—from industrial automation to marketing—and where the smartest growth opportunities lie. Whether through direct investments, venture funds, or public market adjacencies, one message resonated: AI is not a trend—it’s an infrastructure shift. #AIInvesting #TechnologyTrends #InnovationEconomy #VentureCapital #GrowthInvesting #ForthlaneForum

I finally read the full #MIT NANDA report recently. Given the time we spend looking at #AI #Innovation and vetting #Startups for Enterprise-collaboration, I found the headline jarring: 95% fail rate of AI pilots in the enterprise. Then I read the pathway for the 5% of successful pilots. I felt hopeful. Our AI Innovation programs follow these principles and deliver successful pilots as a result. I'm excited for my colleague Alice Ponti to share the VentureFuel POV on this topic tomorrow, along with a framework for enterprise organizations to think about AI partnerships and pilots that achieve that elusive 5%. See below for details on how to join.
AI pilots aren’t failing because of the tech...they’re failing because workflows, incentives, and strategy aren’t aligned. Tomorrow, join Alice Ponti, SVP of Innovation at VentureFuel, to learn how leading organizations are fixing that. At VentureFuel, Alice helps companies bridge the “learning gap,” integrate pilots into business units, and build feedback loops that turn experiments into long-term value. She’ll share: ✅ Case studies across product, marketing, eCommerce, and operations ✅ How open innovation accelerates AI adoption and de-risks scaling ✅ A practical framework for designing AI pilots that deliver impact 💡 Members: join via your calendar invite 💬 Not a member yet? DM us or email community@innov8rs.co to join the session.

The #GenAI tools you use in your daily are as important as the whole #GenAI ecosystem you intentionally leverage. How do you design your tool stack in a way that it is integrated, intentional and optimized around your specific needs? A lot of necessary integration will take place in the next 2-5 years. For now, many of us have to spend time and map the tools, use cases and possible integration that can give us most value back in terms of time, ideation, quality of deliverables and more.

Many AI projects fail to deliver real business value, with studies showing a high failure rate. One key reason is prioritizing technology solutions over genuine business problems. Organizations often end up with expensive pilots and demos that offer little measurable ROI. For AI to deliver lasting transformation, a shift in focus is needed to address core business challenges first. It's time to acknowledge the problem and implement necessary fixes to achieve success. #AIprojects #BusinessValue #ROI #TechnologySolutions #BusinessProblems #Transformation

Everyone’s been sharing the news — congrats to nexos.ai! 👏 nexos.ai raised €30M Series A to tackle one of the biggest challenges in modern business: unlocking the full potential of AI in the enterprise. While many companies are eager to adopt AI, nexos.ai’s founder and CEO, Tomas Okmanas, points to four persistent barriers: ➡️ Fragmented and insecure deployments ➡️ Uncontrolled costs ➡️ Zero visibility ➡️ Failed governance nexos.ai addresses these issues head-on with a unified, web-based AI Workspace for employees and an AI Gateway for developers. The platform replaces scattered tools with a secure, centralized environment that offers built-in guardrails, full observability, and flexible access controls. With this new funding, nexos.ai will accelerate platform development, expand operations across Europe and North America, and launch educational partnerships.

$307 billion is being spent on AI this year. But most of it is going toward fragmented, unscalable rollouts that don’t serve the business. From the outside, it looks like innovation. Internally, it’s chaos: -Isolated pilots -AI “labs” that don’t deliver -Tech that doesn’t talk to your core systems If AI isn’t embedded into how your teams think, sell and operate, then it’s just an expensive experiment. Stop rolling it out like it’s 2010. Start treating it like infrastructure.

Dreamforce 2025 made one thing clear, AI is moving from promise to production. But for it to deliver real business value, responsibility and orchestration must lead the way. We’ve seen every wave of disruption in our almost 50 years at TP, and each one creates new opportunities when humans lead with purpose. AI done right doesn’t replace people; it empowers them. It allows experts to focus on creativity, empathy, and innovation while technology handles the complexity. The conversation at Dreamforce reinforced that the future of AI isn’t just about smarter tools, it’s about smarter collaboration. Between humans, data, and trust. How is your organization navigating that wave? What was your main takeaways from Dreamforce? Connect with me and let's talk about AI! I'd love to hear your insights! I invite you to watch the full episode of The Scoop with TP with me and Daniel Hong for our key takeaways from Dreamforce: [https://lnkd.in/d8-gZB9n ] #TP

Many AI projects, despite significant investment, are failing to deliver expected value, often due to a focus on gimmicks and pilot projects rather than addressing core business problems. Instead of prioritizing impressive demos, enterprises should concentrate on achieving real business outcomes through strategic AI integration. The key is to identify the optimal technology configuration that maximizes value for the enterprise, ensuring AI initiatives scale beyond initial pilots and integrate effectively with key data assets. This alignment is crucial for AI to provide tangible returns and avoid stagnation. #AIStrategy #BusinessOutcomes #TechIntegration #ValueCreation #PilotProjects #DataAssets
