Part 6 of our Iron Triangle series explores how AI is reshaping software development. Generative AI tools can cut the unit cost of code and speed up delivery, but without guardrails, they can multiply bad code just as fast. AI does not break the Iron Triangle, but it can stretch it, making trade-offs less painful when paired with the right systems. 📺 Watch Part 6 of the Iron Triangle series. #SoftwareDevelopment #EngineeringLeadership #StartupExecution #IronTriangle

One way to think of introducing AI-assisted coding to your software org is to see it like a home builder moving from a hammer to a nail gun. Faster, but the fundamentals still apply. Sure, keeping humans in the loop to keep it on track can feel like moving slower than one-shot coding. But you could also say that the brakes on your car just slow you down on your journey. It's about safety! Without software "brakes" in the form of tests, reviews, security checks, refactoring, etc...you are just speeding as fast as you can toward the scene of the crash....which is convenient since that's where you're headed! That is why Bulwark's AI is built with guardrails, fine-tuning, and a dash of RLHF so that it knows "The Bulwark Way" to do things. Dev teams gain speed and cost savings without losing quality by delegating many of these best practices to our agents. AI might change the shape of the Iron Triangle..it might change the coefficients of the equation...but the trade-offs are still there. The key is paying attention and making those tradeoff decisions with intention, not just wishful thinking.

AI isn’t coming for software engineers, it’s already sitting next to them. In this clip, Ankush Goyal, CPTO of fabric, shares how tools like Copilot, Claude, and Cursor have become everyday essentials for developers, and why he hasn’t met a single engineer who isn’t already using AI. #AI #Engineering #Innovation #TheInnovatorsPlaybook #TechLeadership

The AI Velocity Paradox Is Real Harness’s State of AI in Software Engineering 2025 report found that while 63% of teams are coding faster with AI, 72% have already faced production incidents from AI-generated code. Speed means little without automation. The real gains come when AI powers testing, security, and delivery, too. That’s how teams move from fast to resilient. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dqdKhkUq
