Over two years, a pilot program that delivered groceries to residents with disabilities in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood has served 176 neighbors 7,500 boxes of food. "They found 22 percent of participants were no longer food insecure after joining the program, 59 percent found it easier to access healthy food through the program, and 43 percent experienced lower stress around food access."
