Great to see successful approaches combining medication with peer support. It's a false dichotomy that you can only have social/psychological counseling or medication but not both.

This is an incredibly informative edition of PHI News. The evidence showing that Substance Use Navigators can double the likelihood of treatment initiation — and significantly reduce hospital readmissions — highlights exactly the kind of practical, patient-centered innovation that saves lives, especially in rural and underserved settings. I also appreciate the breadth of PHI’s work reflected here: addressing addiction, advancing telehealth policy, supporting youth mental health, strengthening environmental health research, and building community resilience. These are exactly the kinds of integrated, systems-level approaches needed to strengthen public health globally.
