Often, business execs are tempted to approach annual strategy planning as if it were a business school project… a race to see who can recall the most frameworks. But now more than ever, strategy documents must be practical and straight to the point. For 2026, I’m proposing a simple 5-question approach that gets teams out of “PowerPoint theatre” and into real decision-making: 1. Where are we now? An honest snapshot of performance, culture and market position. 2. Where do we want to be by December 2026? Clear targets that fit our Ghanaian business realities. 3. What can we rely on? The capabilities, partnerships and market openings that truly give us leverage. 4. What will slow us down? Internal weaknesses we’ve ignored and external threats we can’t wish away. 5. What five customer-focused strategies must we execute? Not everything under the sun. Just the five that actually shift the numbers. If teams anchor their planning around these five questions, strategy becomes what it should be: an effective working guide, not an MBA capstone project. 2026 will reward clarity, discipline and action... not jargon. #Strategy2026 #LeadershipGH #BusinessPlanning #OrganisationalGrowth #MSRInsights

Fantastic day at the WERC Leadership workshop in London! We had the chance to connect with many inspiring mobility leaders to unpack findings from Mobility Matters, our latest research based on insights from over 200 global mobility programs. The conversations were energetic, honest, and forward-looking. Our live polls showed what’s really on people’s minds: 📌 Measuring success: Employee satisfaction, stakeholder feedback, and cost metrics are still the key focus. 📌 Making mobility future-ready: More automation, smarter tech integration, and better data insights. 📌 AI on the horizon: Many teams are using or intend to use more automation for reporting, analytics, payroll, and data audits. It’s always inspiring to hear how others are tackling challenges and driving innovation in this space. Thanks to WERC for bringing everyone together. Here’s to keeping the conversation going and continuing to move mobility forward. Today starts day one of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand Advanced Directors’ Course in Tāmaku Makaurau, led by Craig Rust. Today’s first session with Rob Campbell offered a powerful reminder: effective governance starts with asking ourselves the right questions - regularly. Why do you want to be a director, and why that organisation? What unique role can you play around the table? What does the board expect from you - and are you meeting those expectations? These aren’t one-off reflections. They’re questions every director should revisit annually to stay grounded and purposeful. Look forward, not back. There is so much opportunity ahead for our organisations if we lift our gaze. Progress comes from learning from the past - yes - but not being anchored to it. Support your CE with clarity and intention. Understand their needs. Communicate your expectations. Strong governance thrives on alignment, honesty, and mutual respect. Your boardroom superpower will evolve. As you grow, as your organisation matures, as your board culture shifts - so too should the value you bring. Embrace that evolution. Experienced directors: make time to coach. Investing in fellow directors and senior executives lifts capability, confidence, and ultimately the quality of governance across the whole system. It matters. Stay curious. Curiosity fuels better questions, deeper thinking, and wiser decisions. A powerful start to the week. Looking forward to what’s ahead. What a privilege to present the Australian Institute of Company Directors webinar on Transforming Board Meetings—and to collaborate with Philippe Etienne as a thinking partner! In today’s fast-paced governance landscape, the quality of board meetings directly impacts strategic outcomes. This session introduced The Thinking Environment® by Nancy Kline—a powerful methodology that elevates boardroom dialogue, sharpens decision-making, and ensures every director’s voice is heard. 💡 95% of participants agreed or strongly agreed the content was relevant and current - evidence of its resonance. If you missed it, the webinar is still available via AICD: 🔗https://lnkd.in/g5npB2yJ And if you're looking to unlock diversity of thought at board or executive level, a half-day Transforming Board Meetings program is a valuable investment—reshaping how boards think, lead, and collaborate.

The lack of internal trust in all organisations is at an all time high, but particularly large ones, whether it be corporations, NGO's , administrative or other. This is backed up by the Edelman Report in 2024. Organisations that have high levels of internal trust out perform their competition by 2.5 to 3x. Trust is the hidden component of the business engine akin to the oil in a physical one. This is why we have we developed the Trust Locus(R) application which will allow senior leaders to analyse with full confidence and anonymity where they have trust challenges in their organisations. In turn this will give them the opportunity to make appropriate interventions to improve business facets such as productivity, engagement, creativity and other critical business enablers.
