Sometime ago I got an email noting my Dallas Business Journal's 40 under 40 award. I felt a rare rush—kind of like when you open your landmark account, win the lottery, find out she's interested in you, etc. Unfortunately, those rushes are fleeting when surrounded with the pressures of entrepreneurship. I keep a copy of this in the office as a reminder of my dissatisfied 2021 self who dreamed of taking a shot at entrepreneurship. This reminder gives me more appreciation than a rush I've chased, and I would encourage anyone feeling stuck to consider taking the leap, whether to a new firm or a new path.
