Rail depots can be high-risk environments, where protecting staff is a daily challenge. The Zonegreen Electronic Interlocking Solution (EIS) provides essential protection with modern technology designed to keep rail maintenance teams safe. A Safety Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) monitors third-party depot equipment, ensuring it can only be enabled or disabled when authorised. The system prevents access to hazardous areas until they are confirmed as secure. Zonegreen EIS minimises risks, safeguards staff, and enhances overall operational efficiency. The key benefits of Zonegreen EIS include: · Flexible and Programmable – the software can be reprogrammed to accommodate different safety sequences. · High Reliability – fail safe principles are used to ensure safety functions operate, even in the event of faults. · Remote Diagnostics – allows troubleshoots and status monitoring remotely · Fast Operation and Tamper Proof – uses encrypted communication and authentication. Interested in learning how Zonegreen EIS can support your rail maintenance facility? Before a facility transitions from construction to operation, every system must prove it works — not just alone, but together. This article by Owner + NBCx Operations Manager Jesse Felter in EC&M breaks down why Integrated Systems Testing (IST) is the final, crucial step in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable building performance. A must-read for anyone involved in electrical commissioning. https://lnkd.in/eACkHgsV Jesse Felter #SSROne #SSR

Commissioning of building systems and equipment are key to successful daily operations. Just because systems are installed DOES NOT mean they’re operable according to how they were designed. If it’s not documented - there’s no proof. #realestate #development #designengineering #newbuilding #commissioning

Did you know that the CableGuardian’s Asset Condition Assessment offers immediate fault visibility without requiring capital expenditure or project delays? Installed temporarily at the Principal Supply Point (PSP), the system identifies underperforming feeders and IR faults in a single shift. This enables maintenance teams to prioritise follow-up investigations and plan corrective action based on real data. It’s the ideal low-risk, high-return service for busy rail operators looking to triage issues efficiently. In power distribution systems, Distribution Transformers (DTs) serve as the critical link between medium-voltage and low-voltage networks, ensuring reliable power delivery to end consumers. However, any tripping or breakdown at the DT level or its associated Low-Tension (LT) network components—such as cables, feeder service pillars, or distribution boxes—can significantly affect network reliability. These events directly impact key reliability indices: SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) and SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index), which measure how often and how long customers experience outages. This presentation explores how various DT-related faults contribute to interruptions, their corresponding effects on SAIFI and SAIDI, and how proactive maintenance, automation, and smart fault management can help minimize downtime and improve overall system performance...
