Langan Leader: Capital Connections
AN EXCLUSIVE LANGAN UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 2025
Capital Connections
Langan Washington, DC, Office Builds Upon Success in Arlington, Virginia
To Christina Lewis , Washington, DC, is more than just the nation’s capital—it’s home, and has been for nearly two decades. Since joining Langan in 2016, Lewis has risen through the ranks to Associate Principal and, most recently, leader of the firm’s new office in the District.
While Langan’s DC office just opened this month, Lewis and her team have worked in the region for more than a decade. Over the last 10+ years, they’ve amassed an impressive portfolio of local experience, including The REACH at the Kennedy Center and multiple projects at Union Station and Smithsonian Museums. One of their most complex current projects involves transforming a steam plant that once provided backup heating for several federal buildings into a Four Seasons Private Residences and public park in Georgetown.
“The majority of our DC team lives in the city and we’re passionate about building upon our local experience to support the projects shaping our neighborhoods and the community at large,” said Lewis. “Our understanding of the unique challenges and permitting requirements our DC clients face enables us to deliver tailored solutions and leave a lasting, positive impact on the city that we call home.”
From its centrally located DC office, Langan delivers a full suite of integrated services that reflect deep local knowledge and regional collaboration. Working closely with Langan’s established Arlington office, the DC team contributes to complex developments across sectors—including adaptive reuse, affordable housing, cultural and entertainment venues, and more—while planning for the capital’s continued growth.
