Every once in awhile, I am able to lift my head up and remember the core of why I joined Pinterest, 5 years ago. As someone who has spent most of my career working with teens on a range of mental health initiatives, I never expected that more than half of Pinterest users would be between the ages of 10-25! This quote really hit me: “I go on Pinterest, and I feel inspired to take action and use my time productively. A lot of my friends are using it as well…we feel that we can see real-life transformation with the tools that we’re using.” I feel inspired and proud that I get to play a small part in building a safe, encouraging, and purposeful place to go online. It's something I've felt since the early days of being a beta tester, but to see it scale with over 600M people still feels almost dreamlike.
