✨ ‎ Let's be honest — recruiters spend way too much time perfecting search criteria when sourcing or reviewing candidates. Hours tweaking boolean strings, second-guessing qualifications, wondering if we're casting too wide (or too narrow) of a net... To save recruiters time, we’ve added AI-generated criteria and new presets. In Gem’s AI Sourcing and AI-powered App Review, you can now: → Build comprehensive qualification lists in seconds → Generate targeted search criteria based on your job post → Use popular presets to spot rising talent quickly → Review and edit AI-suggested criteria with ease Here's what makes this really special... We didn't just build this feature and ship it. We tested it extensively against user-generated search criteria. The results? Our AI-generated criteria performed as well or better than manually created searches across the board. Think about that for a second. The same (or better) quality candidates, without the hours spent perfecting search strings. This is what excites me about AI in recruiting — it's not about replacing human judgment. It's about giving recruiters back their time so they can focus on what matters most: building meaningful connections with candidates.

AI hasn’t replaced my work as a recruiter, but it has transformed how I work. Here are a few ways I’ve been using AI to elevate my recruiting workflow: 🔍 Sourcing smarter – brainstorming Boolean strings, surfacing adjacent job titles, and uncovering overlooked technologies or skills. 📝 Sharper communication – drafting messaging that's clear, engaging, and aligned to our brand. 📊 Data clarity – calculating funnel metrics, pass-through rates, and pipeline health so I can share insights with hiring leaders quickly. 🧠 Interview prep – generating role-specific questions, summarizing feedback, and structuring candidate evaluations. ⚙️ Process support – building onboarding plans, checklists, and templates that keep our team aligned and efficient. The common thread? AI saves me time on the repetitive tasks so I can focus on the human parts of recruiting: spending more time with candidates and hiring managers. To me, that’s the sweet spot. Humans leading with empathy, strategy, and judgment, with AI as the accelerator. Curious... if you’re a recruiter, how are you using AI in your work today? #AIinRecruiting #TalentAcquisition #Hiring #RecruitingExcellence #FutureOfWork

This feels like a real game-changer. Yesterday I used #ChatGPT #Agent Mode to log into LinkedIn Recruiter and generate a curated list of 25 elite software engineers in the Bay Area—all from one single prompt. - The output included LinkedIn + GitHub links and quick insights on what makes each engineer stand out. - It cross-referenced education, experience, and tenure. - It surfaced candidates from top CS programs (Stanford, Berkeley, etc.) with experience at high-bar startups and leading tech companies (Square, Stripe, Spotify, Figma, YouTube). - It produced an export-ready list I could instantly drop into a Google Doc. The best part? I could step in and adjust criteria whenever I wanted. What used to take me ~2 hours building a sourcing list by hand now takes under 15 minutes. Now, more than ever it feels like Recruiting and Talent leaders that aren’t experimenting with AI to augment sourcing, risk quickly getting left behind. I’ll share screenshots below of the step-by-step flow + the curated engineer list ChatGPT pulled together. Curious if other recruiting/talent leaders have had success with similar approaches?

Recruiters: "AI will never replace human touch in hiring" Meanwhile, only 10% of recruiters are "radical AI enthusiasts." That's a massive opportunity gap. The companies taking AI in hiring seriously are 10x'ing their hiring efficiency. Everyone else? Sitting on the sidelines. 7 AI tools transforming TA in 2025: 1. Kula: All-in-one AI hiring ATS ➕ Cuts recruiting ops time by 60%. ➖ Still early adoption phase, reporting depth catching up to more established platforms. 2. Scotty AI: Conversational recruiting assistant ➕ Reduces recruiter workload by 70%. ➖ Few public case studies available, can feel impersonal for complex roles requiring nuanced evaluation. 3. Skima AI: Recruiter-centric platform ➕ Makes sourcing as easy as asking a question. ➖ Very new to market (less than 2 years), so limited customer reviews. 4. Viterbit/MIA Recruiter: EU-focused AI assistant. ➕ Built specifically for European recruiters. ➖ Primarily Spanish-language focus, which may limit usefulness in other European markets. 5. Spott (YC W25) - YC-backed AI-native ATS ➕ Designed for modern, fast-moving teams. ➖ Early-stage startup with sparse reviews outside the US market, but one to watch! 6. HeyMilo AI: Voice & chat screening platform ➕ Screens 100+ candidates while you sleep. ➖ Niche tool (screening only) that may struggle with technical interviews requiring deep domain expertise. 7. Gigged.AI: AI talent marketplace ➕ Fills roles in days, not weeks. ➖ Not built for full-time recruitment, so limited if you're hiring permanent employees. AI doesn't replace recruiters. It eliminates the grunt work so you can focus on: - Building relationships - Selling your company - Making better hiring decisions Companies using AI in hiring see: - Recruiters spend 75% more time on relationship-building vs. admin - One recruiter can manage 3x more open roles - Fill niche/hard-to-hire roles 60% faster - Reduce dependency on expensive external recruiters Ready to put in place a hiring blueprint that works?
