We are a small team, and getting you connected with an available intake coordinator or responder can take several days, or longer if we are experiencing more support requests. We are limited in the length and types of support we can provide, and we may not be able to work with or provide services to everyone who requests them.


Psychiatric Incarceration Support & Advocacy

Supporting people who are currently or at risk of psychiatric hospitalization or incarceration

Text 401-400-2905 or leave a voicemail for urgent support with psychiatric incarceration/involuntary hospitalization. Hours of operation are: Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM EST-4:00 PM EST.

Who we support:

  • People at urgent risk of experiencing psychiatric incarceration

  • People who are currently being held against their will inside of psychiatric facilities

  • Friends, family members, and care team members supporting people experiencing psychiatric incarceration

Rapid Crisis Response Coordination

Immediate, time-sensitive support during a mental health crisis

  • Mobilizing peer responders

  • In-person rapid response, when possible

  • Coordinating care and safety measures with the individual in crisis

  • Providing supporters with guidance and tools to prevent psychiatric incarceration and uphold community-based alternatives

  • Grounded support that reduces reliance on coercive systems while prioritizing safety


Care Consults

Practical, tangible support and guidance

  • Discussing non-carceral options for care and support

  • Develop personalized, consent-driven crisis plans

  • Guidance on interacting with medical, mental health, or legal systems

  • Strategies for advocating for rights and minimizing coercion

  • Documentation practices for safety and accountability

  • Guidance on establishing peer-led support networks or crisis pods

  • Tools for shared accountability and ongoing check-ins

  • Strategies for day-to-day support, emotional care, and sustaining collective, long-term support


Short-Term Peer Support

Lived experience, non-coercive, community-centered care

  • Listening and bearing witness to experiences

  • Helping identify immediate strategies or resources

  • Accompanying someone to appointments or navigating interactions with systems

  • Providing practical assistance like planning next steps, safety checks, or connecting to longer-term resources

  • Checking in post-crisis for grounding, reflection, and connection
