The suspect in the officer-involved shooting has died according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting took place after CHP used road spikes after a high speed chase. KCSO says the suspect shot at CHP officers who then fired back. CHP officers administered medical aid at scene. Around 5:50 am, the suspect was pronounced dead.
No officers were injured in the incident.
