๐Ÿ• Jimmy Fallon Mourns the Loss of His Dog Gary (AARP Article)

FROM THE ARTICLE.

The โ€˜Tonight Showโ€™ host described her as โ€˜a therapist, big sister and comedianโ€™.

By Andre Ellington, AARP. Published October 21, 2025.

Jimmy Fallon, 51, recently took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute for and a carousel of photos of his 13-year-old dog, Gary, who passed away. The Tonight Show host said on Instagram that Gary โ€œwas the last name we signed on every birthday card.... She was our first baby, a therapist, a pillow, a big sister, a schoolmarm, a comedian, a party girl and a rebel.โ€

It wouldnโ€™t be a proper Fallon send-off if he didnโ€™t add some humor, mentioning that Gary wasnโ€™t a watchdog because โ€œshe would have let burglars in and shown them where we kept the bacon and American cheese slices,โ€ and that she was โ€œalways smiling even when she slept.โ€

Our oldest cat Bristol๐Ÿ˜บis going to be 16 next April. I get teary eyed wondering how much longer we will have her in our lives. We just have to enjoy them and the people in our lives as long as we can. None of us know how much longer we have. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Luv to you and your Mister!๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿฑ

Losing a pet of any kind is like losing family. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

TODAY on the radio station I listen to, Chris announced having to put down his 16-year old dog.

He shared his memories & tears were in my eyes.

His furbaby was dealing with getting old & having a hard time functioning.

I DREAD the day I have to say goodbye to my cat "Mister" but try to ENJOY him every day. Have NO idea how old he is as he "adopted" me LAST year May 2024 when his "humans" left him behind when they moved.  ๐Ÿ˜ค

As I AGE Michelle @MichelleC103656 , I "agree" with what you said.

Tomorrow is NOT "promised" = spend time with folks you CARE about (and pets). We do get "busy" but my "only" child NOW "realizes" this & NOW makes MORE time for us.

Lol, for years, I could NOT find her!!! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

VERY busy as I "slowed" down.

Much luv to you dear friend as you "deal" with your loss.

And of course your crew from Mister. ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿˆ

Luv,
