Songs that Progressively Get Intense

Howdy! I am looking for some songs to add to my playlist. The idea is the songs start off kind of "calm" but by the end it is a more powerful/intense ending. Almost like you are trying to keep it together but then you reach the last straw if that makes sense. Feel free to share any songs you think may fit!

That’s a solid one! I’m amazed how few listeners they have too, they are pretty good!!

Great topic @kibbels14, and cool playlist as well!

Today I revisited this song “Willkommen” by Black Space Riders, which I’d say starts out relatively calm and then gets more intense over time:

A music review website that I was reading about this release seemed to have a similar impression about the song’s progression (“Spatial yet increasingly aggressive and intimate, the track is like a psychedelic nebula, drawing in denser sounds and energy until creating its own dramatic world, or in this case an intensity fuelled sonic climax,” in their words).

I’m just posting this one song for now, but I might think of additional tracks with a similar sort of progression and share them here later.

Cheers!

Ahh this is great!! The song and the explanation! Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing if you add anything else 😄

Went ahead and followed your playlist, bc I really like this theme. I have one that I literally curated with this in mind. This topic was made for it:

Cool playlist, @sk3vin! I noticed that you’ve included a song by Monolord, a band that I also enjoy listening to.

@kibbels14 Here are a few other examples of songs from my Spotify library, which I’d say get progressively more intense over time as well:

“Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons, Pt. 1” by Earthless:

Oh sweet! I gave yours a follow too and I am looking forward to listening to it 🙂

Thanks for sharing @AdamDam! I thought the songs you put fit perfectly into the playlist!

Hi @kibbels14,

Today I was listening to this track, "Jovian Sky" by Dhidalah, and it reminded me of your thread, as it's another song that starts out mellow but gets increasingly more intense as the track progresses; so I thought I'd share it here, in case you find it to be of interest:

Oh my gosh I’m so happy that you still think about this playlist @AdamDamon

😄

And also I listened to the song and it’s great!! I went ahead and added it to the playlist. Thanks again for sharing!!

Many of my songs go this way, especially the covers: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7a73LcvYZaulJDXiG3ghCa?si=73e886f032bf4e03.
