According to studies from Scope and Samsung Electronics, 66% of gamers with disabilities face barriers in gaming, 81% struggle with inaccessible features, and 39% are forced to abandon their favourite games, due to inaccessible features.
It’s time to change that reality.
This mission is what drove me and Sidney Yun Joong Kim to start planning and studying what we could do to make a difference. After a couple of years of planning and trying to get it off the ground, I am thrilled to announce that the Adaptive Esports Summit is coming to the Daejeon Dream Arena in two weeks, on December 13, 2025!
We are honoured to bring together industry veterans and absolutely superstars like Bryce Johnson, Tülay McNally, and Todd Harris alongside South Korea’s home-grown Education, Accessibility and Esports professionals like Jeong Woong, JaeSeok Park, SangWoo Go, HyunJong Kang and YunSeong Nam.
But this isn't just another conference. We are building a global stage where accessibility meets competitive gaming. We will host the first Adaptive Tekken tournament, led by four-time EVO champion and Esports legend Bae Jae-min "Knee". A competition that will lay the groundwork for a planned international circuit that will give opportunity to gamers with disabilities to compete at the world stage.
A huge thank you to our partners and sponsors: Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, Logitech G, Grow uP Esports, SXNGA👁, and to Daejeon Metropolitan City and the Daejeon Esports Dream Arena for hosting us.
Telmo Silva, Fernando Pereira, Jorrel Batac, Mostafa Abusamra, MBA, SPC,, Baraa Abdulla, Cary Lambert, Giselle Sturdevant thank you for being part of this journey and for your incredible support in making this a reality, one way or the other.
