LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 28-year-old man was arrested after he told police he killed his girlfriend, and officers found her with stab wounds.

The Henderson Police Department said officers responded to a home at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, near Eastern Avenue. Police said a call came from a man, later identified as Maurice Vanderall, saying he had killed his girlfriend. He also said he tried to harm himself.

When officers arrived, they contacted Vanderall and entered the home to find a woman with multiple stab wounds. Police said she died at the scene.

Vanderall was taken into custody. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim.
