How does the FOX5 Surprise Squad work?
The FOX5 Surprise Squad, sponsored by United Nissan, America First Credit Union and Albertsons & Vons, began surprising viewers across the Las Vegas Valley on Dec. 16, 2013.
The Surprise Squad makes their way around town helping make the day a little brighter for some lucky FOX5 viewers. You never know where the Squad may show up or what they’ll be doing when they get there.

How do I contact the Surprise Squad?
If you’d like to nominate yourself or someone you know to be helped by the FOX5 Surprise Squad, there are several different ways to contact them.
Keep in mind that we receive hundreds of nominations each week, so we cannot reply to each one. If we have questions or need to collect additional information, we will contact you using the information you provide.
Please note that submitting a nomination does not guarantee that you or your nominee will receive a visit from the FOX5 Surprise Squad.
All nominations must be for local residents.

The real FOX5 Surprise Squad will NEVER ask you for money, personal information, or payment of any kind.
Unfortunately, scammers are trying to take advantage of our community by pretending to be the FOX5 Surprise Squad. Here’s how to protect yourself and your loved ones. Here are some red flags to look out for:
- Asking for money, fees, or “processing costs” to receive a surprise
- Requesting personal information like Social Security numbers, bank account details, or credit card information
- Demanding immediate payment via gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency
- Pressuring you to act quickly or threatening to give your “prize” to someone else
The FOX5 Surprise Squad loves surprising our Las Vegas Valley community, but we do it the right way - with no cost, no catch, and no personal information required.
Legitimate surprises don’t require upfront payments or personal data.

- What is the “surprise” you are requesting? (10 words or less).

- Nominee’s name
- Nominee’s address where the Squad will be most likely to find them
- Best time of day to find them at the address you provided
- Why the nominee deserves to be surprised
