24-year-old woman killed in early morning crash in northwest Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A woman died Thursday morning after crashing into a light pole in the northwest valley, police said.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred in the area of Grand Teton and Durango drives around 4:25 a.m.
An investigation found that a gray Nissan sedan was traveling north on Durango when it failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a pole.
The driver, identified as a 24-year-old woman, was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The northbound lanes of the intersection and westbound Grand Teton were closed but have since been reopened. The collision remains under investigation by police.
