Over 2,000 Sheep Manage 3,900-Acre Hornet Solar Site 🐑☀️ In Swisher County, one of the largest solar projects in the U.S. is blending clean energy with agriculture. Hornet Solar has introduced over 2,000 sheep to its 3,900-acre site, showcasing agrivoltaics — where solar energy and farming thrive side by side. The flock helps manage vegetation naturally while supporting local agriculture. Developed and operated by Vesper Energy, Hornet Solar produces 600 MW of power and contributes $100 million in tax revenue to the community, benefiting schools, hospitals, and public facilities. It’s a powerful example of how renewable energy and agriculture can coexist for long-term sustainability and community growth. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ecV_X22c . . #RenewableEnergy #Agrivoltaics #SolarEnergy #CleanEnergy #WomenInEnergy #AWECommunity #EnergyInnovation
