What a productive week at #MDRPSummit2025! Thank you to everyone I had the chance to meet and learn from. It was great connecting with peers, including Kay Shafeek, to exchange perspectives on where policy and pricing are heading. The policy and reimbursement landscape is shifting quickly, and manufacturers must prepare for a more complex, compliance-heavy, and data-driven environment. Lots of big takeaways: 🎯 Policy & Pricing Watchlist 1️⃣ ASP & Service Fees → CMS redefining bona fide service fees → downward ASP pressure + tighter FMV & documentation requirements. 2️⃣ 340B Rebate Pilot → Potential move from upfront discounts to rebates; HRSA audits remain intense (>2,400 covered entity audits since 2012). 3️⃣ Rebate Ecosystem → Chargebacks shifting to rebates = better visibility into discounts but far greater reconciliation complexity. 4️⃣ Medicare Inflation Rebates → Complex rules, shrinking error windows, and CMS discretion = more financial volatility and faster review cycles. 5️⃣ FMV & Compliance Tech → Expect prescriptive FMV guidance, possible third-party validation, and growing regulator use of AI for oversight. 👉 Bottom line: Manufacturers must build flexible, data-driven systems and proactive compliance strategies to navigate this environment while protecting patient access.
