Catalytic capital is designed to address gaps and enable others to invest, making it a particularly powerful form of impact investing. Recently, 140 individuals from nearly 90 organizations supported by the Catalytic Capital Consortium (C3) Grantmaking initiative came together in San Francisco to share their experiences and strategize ways to expand catalytic capital further. Over two years, a pilot program that delivered groceries to residents with disabilities in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood has served 176 neighbors 7,500 boxes of food.
