Last month, we hosted our very first in-person Mentoring Midwest Meet Up in Detroit and it was such a powerful way to bring our mentoring community together. These Meet Ups are fun, casual gatherings designed to help mentors and mentees connect, share experiences, and dive into topics chosen by participants. We explored how to stay grounded, flexible, and confident during seasons of transition or “not quite sure what’s next.” Hosted by: Katie Olah & Katie Ryckman In attendance: Erica Tackett, Rachel West, Jennifer Kohler, Jennifer Powell, Jacqueline Thompson We can’t wait to host more of these in the months ahead. 💛

About us
We have been invested in women’s leadership since we were first organized more than 100 years ago and ultimately became Advertising Women of New York (AWNY). We changed our name to She Runs It in 2016 because as the industry evolved, it became evident that our community encompassed far more than just advertising, and was far broader than just New York. Today we are a global organization with members in 42 states and 8 countries. When we started, we wanted to give more women a seat at the table. Now, we want to see more women at the head of the table. The reason is simple. Women are proven leaders. Women motivate. Innovate. Today, women run companies. Communities. Countries. They are growth-oriented leaders, and focus on steady, sustainable growth. Women are good for business. Companies with more women as leaders are also more financially successful. More socially responsible. And that’s good for everyone. Which is why we bring together both women and men who want to build the world we want to live in. A world where women lead at every level. · Where she runs businesses. · She runs departments. · She runs accounts. · She runs projects. · She runs her career. · She runs her life. · She runs it.

Education debt shouldn’t be a barrier to women’s leadership. That’s why She Runs It created the Education Loan Grant (ELG), a flagship benefit offering grants of up to $10,000 to qualified members to help pay down student loans or support continuing education. Since 2012, we’ve awarded nearly $1.5 million in grants to more than 150 rising stars in marketing, media, and tech. Now, we’re calling on you: Are you a She Runs It member with student debt or continuing‑ed bills? Apply! The ELG gives you breathing room so you can focus less on debt, and more on growth. Do you believe in lifting other women up? Consider a donation; every dollar goes directly toward empowering a woman looking to lead, grow, and make an impact. Together, we can replace debt with opportunity and help more women focus on what matters: leadership, innovation, opportunity and progress. ➡️ Learn more, apply or donate here: https://lnkd.in/eY_ZbMBW To apply for a grant, click here: https://lnkd.in/ehyPhV_z To donate, click here: https://lnkd.in/eaZaHxXB
