  • This week, our team volunteered at the First Coast Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Jacksonville, Florida, as part of TEA’s Season of Impact. The team helped assemble outdoor furniture that will be sold in the ReStore, alongside a wide selection of home improvement supplies, materials, and furniture. Proceeds from the sales support Habitat’s mission of empowering families to build better futures through homeownership across Duval, Nassau, and Baker counties. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community alongside an organization that helps create strength, stability, and self-reliance for local families. • Today, leaders from across the energy industry are gathering in Orange County for Smart Grids USA 2025 — and TEA’s own Elizabeth Massey, Director of Data DynAMIcs, is among the featured speakers. This conference brings together power generation and distribution experts to explore new regional opportunities and the latest technologies shaping grid modernization. Beth is presenting on a critical topic for today’s utilities: How to unlock the most actionable intelligence from AMI data to better understand customer energy use, support production insights, and elevate customer engagement. She’s also connecting with West Coast utilities to highlight the data-driven services available as they expand and evolve their distribution grids — ensuring they have the insights needed to plan confidently for the future. We’re proud to have Beth representing TEA and advancing the conversation on what’s possible with smarter, more strategic use of utility data. Are you a utility looking to maximize your AMI data? Learn more at www.teainc.org or email Beth at DrM@teainc.org. #TEA #gridoptimization #AMImeters

  • Happy Thanksgiving from The Energy Authority! Last week, our employees came together to share a meal, connect across departments, and reflect on what they’re most thankful for. Hearing their answers — family, friends, health, community, and teammates who feel like family — reminded us why culture matters so much. We’re grateful for every member of our TEAm who brings heart, humor, and purpose to the work we do each day. We are especially grateful to our clients. Thank you for trusting us to help power your communities and for allowing us to support the important work you do every day. Your partnership truly fuels our mission. Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, safe, and joyful Thanksgiving.

  • Last week, through Children's Home Society of Florida Community Partnership Schools (CPS) — and in partnership with Cowford Chophouse — our TEAm helped re-stock the food pantries at Long Branch Elementary School, Matthew Gilbert Middle School, and Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, FL. There are nine CPS food pantries across Northeast Florida, serving approximately 800 families each month. With 96% of students relying on their schools for reduced meals, having a pantry located on campus helps reduce the transportation barriers many families face when accessing food. No child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the families who depend on these pantries every month — and proud of our employees for making a meaningful difference. #SeasonofImpact #TEA

  • This Season of Impact, 20 TEA employees spent the afternoon volunteering with Rethreaded, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking. Our team helped dismantle donated leather train seats—materials the women in Rethreaded’s program will later transform into beautiful, hand-crafted products sold in their store. We look forward to this volunteer opportunity every year and are continually inspired by the powerful stories of resilience and hope made possible through Rethreaded’s mission. • Tomorrow, Joe Witkowski, TEA’s Director of Technology Innovation, will be speaking at the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency (KMEA)/KMGA Annual Conference in Wichita, Kansas. His session, Accelerating #AI in Public Power, will dive into the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in sectors that have historically evolved at a slower pace. Joe will share how TEA Innovation is advancing AI adoption within our own operations — from identifying high-impact use cases to building strategies that position public power for a more agile, data-driven future. We’re excited to contribute to this important conversation and to help shape what’s next for our industry. #energyindustry #TEA #speaker
