  • 🤩 Ah, the sweet sound of potholes being filled. Volume up! When temps drop, crews use cold mix - a method that works in cold weather. It doesn’t last as long as hot mix, but it quickly eliminates hazards and helps prevent further damage until warmer weather allows for a permanent fix. For more information on Upland Public Works or to report a pothole, visit UplandCA.gov/Public-Works or call (909) 291-2930.

  • This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for our Upland community and the everyday moments of connection, kindness, and pride we see throughout our city. 🍂🦃 The messages of appreciation you’ve shared mean a lot, and they remind us why this work matters. We hear you, and we’re always working to serve you even better. We’re also thankful for the dedicated Public Works team and the many City staff who work year-round to keep Upland safe, clean, and running smoothly for everyone. Thank you for your dedication, pride, and professionalism. You help make Upland shine! 🤍 Stand-by crews will be on call over the holiday weekend. UplandCA.gov/Public-Works (909) 291-2930.

  • 🚧 Foothill Boulevard Improvement Project Update 🚧 You’ll notice intermittent lane closures along Foothill Boulevard between Euclid and Benson over the next 4–5 weeks as our crews complete concrete repairs and begin work on planned water-system upgrades. This project is designed in multiple phases to keep the workflow efficient and cost-effective. By tackling the underground improvements first, we can avoid disturbing newly paved asphalt later — and ensure a smooth, beautifully finished boulevard when the work wraps up. In the next phase, you’ll start to see fresh median enhancements taking shape along the corridor. Thank you for your patience and for driving carefully around our hardworking team. Your support keeps Upland moving forward! 🧡 For more information on the Foothill Boulevard Improvement Project, please visit UplandCA.gov/foothill

  • Our first-ever Free the Files Day was a success! ✨📁 Glad we sorted that out! 😉 Last Tuesday, City Hall and Public Works closed to the public so staff could focus on organizing, decluttering, and tackling overdue files. The City Clerk’s Office dropped in to both sites to support teams as they improved their work areas. The result? Cleaner spaces, stronger records compliance, and a refreshed start. Proud of our team! 🙌
