We are thrilled to celebrate Lumen Field's TRUE Certification for Zero Waste Gold Certification, only the second National Football League (NFL) stadium to achieve this milestone! The achievement was announced during Sunday's sold-out Seahawks vs. Vikings game, marking a significant moment for sustainability in sports. Proud to have served as the TRUE Zero Waste consultants on this project, supporting Lumen Field as they diverted more than 6 million pounds of waste-- 93% from landfills through their closed-loop recycling program. The team at Lumen Field has been such an amazing client to work with, and their dedication to #GreenSports and sustainability is truly inspiring. What an incredible achievement for the future of sustainable sports venues! #ZeroWaste #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #WasteDiversion #CircularEconomy #SustainableSports #TeamEcoworks
We are proud to announce that Lumen Field has officially achieved TRUE Gold Certification for Zero Waste, becoming only the second NFL Stadium to achieve this recognition. TRUE stands for Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) Zero Waste certification and is an assessor-based program that certifies that a facility minimizes waste, diverting at least 90% of its waste from landfills, and maximizes resource efficiency. From expanding waste diversion efforts to investing in greener operations throughout the stadium, we remain dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and setting a new standard for sports venues nationwide. Achieving TRUE Gold is a significant step towards building a cleaner, more sustainable future for our fans, our community, and our planet. Learn More » shwks.com/qyndz3rz
