Counting Down to 2025 Leadership Forum and Other Highlights

Dear PSPS Members,

I’m genuinely excited to share a special announcement about our 2025 Leadership Forum, a gathering I believe will be a game-changer for our organization.

While I can’t reveal the name of our globally renowned keynote speaker just yet, I can assure you that the content and actionable strategies we have in store are more relevant than ever. In today’s world, where volatility, uncertainty, ambiguity, and complexity are the norm, these insights will help us all lead and live with greater purpose and impact.

This year’s forum will focus on the essential role of dignity in uniting teams and inspiring trust. You’ll gain practical tools you can use right away to resolve conflict, strengthen culture, and take your leadership to the next level. These are not just timely ideas; they’re essential for anyone striving to navigate and thrive in our rapidly changing business landscape.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Discover how leading organizations are harnessing the power of dignity to heal divides, rebuild trust, and unlock their teams’ full potential.
  • Learn directly from a world authority on dignity and conflict resolution, whose work has shaped Fortune 500 companies, world leaders, and major institutions.
  • Explore the Dignity Model, a practical framework adopted by top organizations to resolve conflict, boost accountability, and foster high performance.
  • Connect with peers and top executives for candid dialogue and real world learning you won’t find anywhere else.

This isn’t just another keynote; it’s your chance to gain a strategic edge and be part of a movement that redefines leadership for the future.

Space is limited, so please mark your calendars now: November 6, 2025, at the Union League Liberty Hill.

Registration will open soon!

I can’t wait to see you there and experience this transformative event together.

Gratefully,

Nancy Adams, CPC

Q2 Experience: The Power of Appreciation

On May 8th, PSPS members came together for a hybrid in person/virtual event entitled "The Power of Appreciation," featuring guest speaker Kevin Ames . This sold out event provided interesting insight, stories, and laughter to help us pause, consider, and change our mindset around this important topic.

Member In Transition Highlight

At PSPS, we have a forum for members in a career transition looking for support in best positioning themselves in the market. This informal “advisory board” provides collaborative support during the transition process along with regular lead sharing. For more information, check out the Career Transition Group section of our website.

This month, we want to highlight one of our members who is actively looking for his next adventure! This month's featured member: Matthew Coleman, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MS-HRD

Tell us about your background and experience.

  • Background/Experience- I have over twenty years of experience in HR and Talent Acquisition. Most recently, I was in a dual role at Crown Cork and Seal as the head of TA for the US/Canada and the US Head of HR for a small four location subsidiary (as a stretch assignment). My role was moved to Tampa. Otherwise, I probably would not have left Crown. In my TA role, I was on the corporate HR team reporting to the VP of HR. We had a very lean HR team, so we all wore multiple hats. Over sixteen years, we had people leave, but most of the time, they didn't backfill the role- the duties were just redistributed across the other remaining HR teammates. It was challenging, but I was exposed to so many more aspects of HR than if I were siloed in a COE focused solely on TA (HR Manager for Corp. HQ, project management, employee engagement, employer branding, pre-employment requirement oversight, onboarding, etc.). I have experience leading strategy and rolling up my sleeves to help get things done.
  •  What is your superpower?  Being able to absorb information from a hiring manager and speak to candidates in a way that very few HR/TA people can. I had a computer programmer once who was surprised to learn at her first in-person interview that I worked in HR because I spoke so knowledgeably about our IT department in the phone interview. She thought that I was a programmer, too.
  •  Target Role(s):   Ideally, I am looking for: #1 TA Leadership role with a reputable company OR #2 HRBP role  (ideally with less than 25% of my time focused on employee relations).  I live in Yardley, PA (Bucks County), so if the role is onsite or hybrid, my ideal locations are Bucks County, Philadelphia, or the Princeton/Trenton areas. I don't have a preference for the size of the organization or industry.
  •  What value do you get from PSPS? The willingness of everyone I have met so far to help is incredibly refreshing. Such amazing and knowledgeable people!
  •  What do you enjoy most about the Transition Group?  This is so important to me that I am going to repeat my answer from the previous question- the amazing people. Everyone has been so open to networking, showing me a genuine eagerness to connect me to people that they think I should meet.
  • Fun fact/Hobby:   I've got a super "green thumb". I can grow ANYTHING. In my spare time, I joined a non-profit as a volunteer farmer. After a few years, I eventually ended up on their board of directors  (Snipes Farm and Education Center of SFEC). Last weekend was my 20th anniversary at SFEC. Together, we donate 100% of the food grown to people in need in the community (Senior citizens, food banks, and others). SFEC also has a summer farm camp for kids to teach them about farming and sustainability. Anyone in the local homeless shelter can go all summer at no cost. Three years ago, we won a $50k grant from Crown's 20 by 30 Sustainability contest to build an outdoor classroom!
