  • Performance with purpose. Every winter, snowboarder and GORE-TEX® Brand Ambassador Philipp Siefken brings the outdoor community together for his Charity Market — an idea that began as a simple conversation between friends and grew into a movement. This year the community raised €23,400, all proceeds will be donated to the German Kids Cancer Foundation and the Drug Emergency Service, a vital refuge currently facing funding cuts after 28 years. Supporting brands included long-time GORE-TEX® Brand partners such as Arc'teryx, Norrøna, Merrell, and Rab.     A laundrette might seem like an unusual choice of location to talk about innovation. But for our "Get Clean – Stay Dry" event with Rab, it was the perfect setting. We introduced our innovative ePE membrane: fully PFAS-free and lighter. Same trusted protection. Smaller footprint. Everyone there got hands-on with Rab's new HW25 collection – built on GORE-TEX® Pro ePE membrane and ready for the winter. So why the laundrette? Because one of the best things you can do for your GORE-TEX® Gear is surprisingly simple. Wash it. Regularly. The most sustainable jacket? The one you already own – looked after it properly.     Where many outdoor brands cast wide, Portal® narrows in – and makes that their advantage. By focusing exclusively on running, cycling, and hiking, the brand designs garments that excel in each discipline and move seamlessly into daily life. That constraint creates possibility. It also demands something harder: year-round performance. "We live a life that goes from January until December," explains co-founder Patrick Stangbye. "We need to be able to go outside every day for our sport but also for general life." That year-round reality shapes their partnership with GORE-TEX® Brand. "Working with GORE-TEX® Brand, the standards are high," adds co-founder John Roberts. "A normal jacket isn't tested and validated to the extent that a GORE-TEX® Product needs to be."
