Spotify will crash after minutes of use, songs playing slowly

My Question or Issue

I have an issue with spotify's stability, i will use the app for like 20-30 mins and then the app will start to slow down. Songs will take longer to start playing, playlists will take longer to load. I close the app whenever it slows down, and then get a message saying that spotify isnt responding. I have to go to the task manager and clear it from there to get it to work again. Can anyone tell me how to get spotify for desktop to run more consistently? Originally I thought it was because i had lossless audio on but i turned that off and the issue persists.

Can you try performing a clean reinstall of the desktop app following these steps? Also, if you have any battery optimization or power saving apps, you can deactivate them for Spotify.

If the issue still occurs while using the Desktop app, it's a good idea to try running the app as an administrator.
