Allow lossless playback to Chromecast Audio device

Chromecast Audio is an older but still popular device for streaming. It supports FLAC up to 24-bits / 96 kHz so it should be able to handle Spotify lossless streams, yet it's currently limited to lossy quality. Please allow lossless playback on CCA.

@chartz2 What I don't understand is that years ago people listened to their wishes more and not only were they fulfilled very quickly., while it is becoming more and more expensive, there have been wishes here for a very long time that are not being fulfilled.

Spotify has my preference, because the HD masters are nil and the difference between CD sound quality can only be heard with an audiofie installation, which is unaffordable for many. Anyone thinking about Tidal will be disappointed, the range is really very limited. It's also a shame that Spotify doesn't have a €109 subscription for a year, This is possible with Apple Music, Yes, also with HD masters, but finding something is not comparable to Spotify. If you search for something on Apple Music, you can be happy if it shows up, often the message appears that it cannot be found, while sometimes you still encounter it, is on the server but you can't play it.

Double post.

I agree that other platforms have (much) poorer catalogues, hence my fidelity to Spotify for over 10 years. I’m not an audiophile, just a music lover demanding universal support.

The subscription fee suits me as an everyday strong  user.
