Sudden opening and playing of random music

for a while now, anytime I open Spotify on my device it suddenly starts playing a random playlist that I don’t know 

sometimes I will be listening to my own playlist with songs organized the way I want and once I open Spotify it just stops and starts playing a new song that I don’t care for. 
this is extremely annoying 

I’ve tried every suggested solution and nothing worked. 
It looks like some kind of promotion action but it needs to stop. 
kindly help out on this issue.

Does this happen on a specific device like your mobile? Check if the same issue occurs on other platforms like the desktop app or the web player.

Let me know which device you are experiencing this problem on:

• Spotify App Version

@Amay ….It’s happening on my mobile phone: iPhone 12promax

the software version is iOS 18.7

and the Spotify version is the latest for Spotify: music and podcast on App Store

Hi sooo this issue is currently happening to me too i was so frustrated everytime i open my Spotify app, an artist called Mishaal Tamer always pop up and played the album's songs automatically, is it also happens to android? because now im using IPhone XS Max, IOS 18.7, and Spotify Ver. 9.1.0, any solution for this issue? cause this disturbs me, Thank you.

Jumping in just to mention that this behavior where this specific album is playing upon app launch is currently being investigated by internal teams already. At the moment, we don't have a time or date for this to be resolved, but hopefully it will be as soon as possible. We appreciate your reports about this issue.

In the meantime, we'd recommend keeping your Spotify app updated, so you don't miss any improvements coming your way.
