Just released from CDFAM - Computational Design Symposium NYC 2025: Jesus Marini Parissi of Moon Rabbit Lab shares how the Fast‑R NITRO Elite 3 (in collaboration with PUMA Group) was developed with a simulation-first, data-led approach. Using digital tools to simulate and optimise performance pre‑prototype, they achieved ~30% weight reduction and ~3.15% improvement in running economy. CDFAM NYC '25 defined the future of engineering, showing that true innovation lies not just in AI and simulation, but in the shared human passion driving the computational design community forward.
CDFAM - Computational Design Symposium NYC 25 genuinely showed me what innovation looks like: the passion, the pace, and the vision. I was honored to be part of this event, sharing how we at Moon Rabbit Lab are shaping the future of performance while emphasizing that the design process is, fundamentally, human. It was an incredible symposium with deep discussions on AI and Simulation. We explored how designers and engineers will soon have even more tools at their disposal to create better products that are closer to customer needs. It was also inspiring to see the significant effort being put into creating workflows that empower designers & engineers to be their best. It's clear that most of us share the same pain points and struggle with the same big questions. This shared experience makes the process more exciting, knowing we are all getting closer to finding an answer (or perhaps a new set of questions!). Ultimately, the conversations, shared experiences, and discussions behind the stage are what truly bring the human component back into this new AI era. I'm incredibly pleased with the results and the impact Moon Rabbit Lab brought to the table, and for all the questions our presentation enlightened. Thank you to all the amazing presenters for sharing their passion in the field. I'm returning to Milan more motivated, more inspired, and ready to take Moon Rabbit Lab to the next level. Looking forward to continuing this conversation! Big shouts out to all the speakers. Andrew Sink Ian Pegler Markus J. If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t believe it… The PUMA FAST-R 3 has been recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025! When I built the computational design workflow behind it, I never imagined it would go this far. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how one bold idea can evolve into something that reaches this level of impact. A true reminder of what’s possible when design, engineering, and trust come together.
For the past 25 years, TIME editors have compiled an annual list of the world’s most groundbreaking inventions. On this year’s list: Wildtype’s Salmon Saku—the world’s first lab-grown seafood SharkNinja’s CryoGlow—a cooling LED face mask The Dyson PencilVac—the slimmest cordless vacuum on the market (in Europe and Asia for now, coming to the U.S. in 2026), housing its motor and canister inside its handle The Barbie You Create from Mattel, Inc.—a kit that comes with three interchangeable heads and three articulated bodies, plus wigs, clothing, and accessories See what else made the list here: https://lnkd.in/gjaB3q_7 Photographs by Peter Garritano for TIME
