Delhi hit and run: 22-year-old man dies, 2 injured after car collides with motorcycle in Krishna Nagar

NEW DELHI: A 22-year-old man died, and two others were injured after a car collided with a motorcycle in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar on Monday.The deceased was identified as Sehbaaj, a resident of Khureji. The injured, Sameer (21) and Rishabh (23), are undergoing treatment.Police received information about the incident at 4.10 am. A team from the local police station reached the scene and found a damaged motorcycle, while a red car was discovered on the divider, also damaged.According to police, Sehbaaj and Sameer were on the motorcycle, while the car was being driven by Rishabh. An associate of the car driver fled the scene. “The motorcyclists were returning from a wedding function when the incident took place. Their bike was hit from behind by the car,” an officer said.Police stated they are awaiting the medical report to determine whether the car driver was under the influence of alcohol.A case of causing death by rash and negligent driving is being registered.In a separate incident in Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri, a girl died after being hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Sunday night.
