Tony’s background includes leading major integrations, such as the Stanley–Black & Decker merger that generated more than $500M in annual cost synergies, and Xylem’s $7.5B acquisition of Evoqua Water Technologies. Eric Alstrom brings more than two decades of global C-suite experience across industrial technology, electrification, hydraulics, mobility, and automotive industries, with a career spanning Europe, Asia, and North America. His leadership track record includes guiding large international organisations through transformation, integration, and sustained profitable growth. At Danfoss Power Solutions, he held full global P&L responsibility and led the business's transformation into a market leader in hydraulic, electronic, software, and electrification systems. His achievements included the acquisition and integration of Eaton Hydraulics, a significant expansion in R&D, the development of a leading electrification portfolio, and record revenues of €5.1 billion. Eric's earlier leadership roles at Benteler Automotive and General Motors further deepen his global perspective and operational expertise across large-scale manufacturing and technology-driven industries. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Hiab OY, Concentric AB, and Sunlight Group. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I’ve found myself reflecting on this year’s growth and the life lessons that have meant the most to me. There were so many lessons I learned this year, and I am especially grateful for the opportunities I have had around my health and fitness. I started working with a fitness coach and competed in three competitions, including one that my team and I won. After retiring from collegiate sports, I relearned how to love being coached, enjoy competition, and push myself to new levels. I have made strength gains, refined my technique, and learned new skills. Next up is learning how to love running, which will be quite the adventure. (watch this space!!) I have always loved fitness, but this year I learned how to take that passion to the next level. As we head into Thanksgiving, I’ve been taking time to reflect on what this year has taught me and the lessons I’m grateful to carry forward. This year, I’ve been focusing on intentionally carving out time for experiences that bring me joy. It’s easy for work and everyday responsibilities to take over our lives, but I’ve realized that we have to make space for the things that truly energize us. A few weeks ago, Kevin and I flew to Nashville to see Sabrina Carpenter, but we decided to turn it into a vacation. Planning it, making it happen, and thoroughly enjoying it reminded me how important it is to prioritize joy and fun in our lives. These moments may seem small, but they recharge us, bring perspective, and remind us why balance matters. Life is short, so I encourage others to do what makes them happy! The times we live in are not for the faint-hearted. I’ve always considered myself pretty tech-savvy, but even for me, the speed at which everything is changing is both exhilarating and a little terrifying. Thankfully, my life experiences, my growth mindset, and years in marketing have taught me to embrace change rather than fear it. And I’m not just talking about technology. Women around the world my age are navigating a very different kind of transition. #Menopause is a trickster. It plays with our bodies and minds, making us question who we are and what we’re capable of. It takes strength and support to move through it. As I join my Pacific International Executive Search US colleagues and friends in celebrating Thanksgiving, I’ve been reflecting on what this year has taught me and the lessons I’m most grateful for. One of the biggest? Growth truly begins when you say YES to the things that scare you just a little. My recent trip to Iceland to celebrate my son’s completion of his master’s at Imperial College London, and the beginning of his journey as a Geotechnical Engineer at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, reminded me to trust myself. It showed me that I am capable of more than I often believe. That trip was full of firsts, full of joy, and turning wishes into reality. The upcoming Thanksgiving focuses my mind on gratitude, and this year I’ve been reflecting on what I’ve learned and celebrating the life lessons I’m grateful for. Lesson 1: The Courage to Ask for Help This year, I learned that it’s okay to ask for help, both at work and outside. Doing so has reminded me how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such a supportive community of people who genuinely want to see me grow and succeed. Lesson 2: Rediscovering My Strength After a soccer injury and surgery years ago, I had avoided running for a long time. This year, I challenged myself to get back into it, running a 5-mile race with my sister and a 5K with my mom and sisters. Those experiences reminded me how resilient my body is and how grateful I am for my health, strength, and determination.
