After 10 remarkable years headquartered in the AARP Hatchery, we are preparing for the next phase of our journey. This space has supported pivotal ideas, conversations, and milestones that helped advance our mission. Our work here began in 2015, when AARP first explored innovation as a strategic priority. By 2017, that early foundation evolved into AARP Innovation Labs and the launch of our first accelerator program. In 2019, we introduced our work to a global audience with our debut showcase at CES in Las Vegas. And in 2021, our efforts came together under one unified identity: The AgeTech Collaborative from AARP. As we close this chapter in the Hatchery, we look ahead with renewed focus. We are excited to begin our next chapter in the AARP national office space, where we will continue building on the progress made over the last decade.

As part of National Family Caregivers Month, we recently convened innovators and leaders on Capitol Hill for 'CareTech Connections', a reception spotlighting emerging solutions that support caregivers and empower older adults to live independently. The event featured interactive demos from seven AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP participant startups — Ageless Innovation, LLC, Joe & Bella, myFloc, RAZ Mobility, Steadiwear Inc., Xander, and Zinnia TV — working across mobility, cognitive health, financial management, communication accessibility, adaptive apparel, and dementia care. Each offers a tangible path to stronger independence for older adults and improved support for family caregivers.
