The University of Washington’s Haggett Hall Replacement brings a one-of-a-kind structural system to campus—combining trimmable open-web wood trusses, mass plywood panels, and prefabricated semi-balloon (tall-wall) framing within a single structure. The result: faster construction, reduced labor, efficient material use, and a seamless relationship between mass timber and light-frame wood. As the holiday season arrives, we’re grateful for opportunities to care for our greater Northwest community! In Boise, our team joined neighbors for the annual Rake Up Boise event, helping clear leaves for veterans, disabled residents, and senior neighbors. We collected 130 bags of leaves this year! In Portland, employees enjoyed assembling lunches for the Transition Projects Walnut Creek Park shelter and delivering 150 turkeys to the Powerhouse Temple Church annual food drive—just one piece of a much larger effort led by the church to support families in North Portland. We’re thankful for the organizations and volunteers who do this work year-round, and we’re happy to support them. Wishing everyone a warm, safe, and community-filled Thanksgiving.

Andersen is building relationships that take off! Our Special Projects Division completed three retail remodels at the Boise Airport, transforming spaces with fresh finishes and updated layouts—all on tight timelines to ensure shops were open quickly. Working in an active airport meant lots of coordination and safety focus, but the results (and relationships) made it all worth it. Great work, Andersen team! Paradies Lagardère

Boise State’s new Construction Management Lab is the first mass timber structure on BSU’s campus. Andersen Construction is honored to support the project by erecting the mass timber furnished by Boise Cascade Company. Lombard/Conrad Architects and Boise State Construction Management designed the building as an interactive teaching tool for future CM students — they will have the ability to explore different construction materials and methods using QR codes and the newest construction technology. This will give future builders hands-on learning and access to the future of innovation in the industry.

We’re excited to share that Matt Blandford, P.E., President of our Boise Region, has been recognized on Idaho Business Review’s Idaho 500 list of influential leaders shaping the state’s economy. Matt embodies our Core Value, “We do everything as a team.” His collaborative leadership has driven some of our largest regional projects and supported meaningful partnerships across the communities we serve.
