Happy 70th Anniversary to our facility in Uden, the Netherlands! CoorsTek Uden was founded on November 19, 1955 as Philips Components factory. Notably, this was the first factory in Uden to employ both men and women! In the 1980s, the factory started manufacturing technical ceramics and today it is a state-of-the-art facility with high end robotics, vision systems, and automated inspection systems. Acquired by CoorsTek in 2016, CoorsTek Uden serves as our Research and Development hub for the EMEA region, focusing on specialized, high-purity materials and advanced capabilities such as transparent ceramics and Sustainable Net Shaping methods. CoorsTek is sponsoring the 40th ASPE Annual Meeting — bringing together the brightest minds in precision engineering, metrology, and motion system design. With Reg Maas and Steve Pawlowski representing CoorsTek as presenters, we’re not just supporting the event — we’re actively contributing to the conversation around what’s next in accuracy, control, and performance engineering. For over a century, CoorsTek has partnered with engineers to develop precision ceramic components that power measurement equipment, semiconductor tools, and high-performance manufacturing systems. Supporting ASPE is a natural extension of that commitment to innovation and collaboration. Whether you’re designing equipment for reliability, systems for repeatability, or machines for perfection, CoorsTek ceramics are up for the challenge. CoorsTek is excited to share that Reg Maas and Steve Pawlowski will be presenting at the 40th ASPE Annual Meeting this November in San Diego — one of the premier forums for advancing precision engineering and measurement science. Their session will dive into structural ceramics for precision machine design — a topic at the core of today’s next-generation inspection, motion, and positioning technologies. At CoorsTek, we engineer advanced technical ceramics used in precision equipment where thermal stability, dimensional control, and material integrity are non-negotiable. Whether in CMM systems, optical metrology platforms, or ultraprecision motion stages, our components are designed to meet the requirements ASPE members work with every day. If you’re attending ASPE and want to talk materials science for precision mechanics, low-expansion structures, or design-for-metrology, grab Reg or Steve between sessions — they’d love to connect. If you can’t be there in person, learn more at our website: https://lnkd.in/ejMpQtVx. #ASPE2025 #PrecisionEngineering #Metrology #CeramicsInEngineering #MeasurementScience #MechanicalDesign #DimensionalStability #EngineeringCommunity

CoorsTek Bioceramics has again received confirmation of our right to market and sell our Permallon® Tru pink ceramic hip components for orthopaedic devices in the U.S. The U.S. Supreme Court recently declined to review the January 2025 federal appeals court decision in our trademark case against CeramTec GmbH. The #SCOTUS denial upholds cancellation of CeramTec’s U.S. trademarks to the color pink and effectively ends all continued litigation by CeramTec related to registering these trademarks in the U.S. “This ruling marks a red line for CoorsTek Bioceramics in our case with CeramTec,” said Mary (Schwebach) Gritzmacher, Chief Legal Officer. “We are gratified and relieved to receive affirmation of our longstanding position that our material formulation is predicated upon creating components that provide the best possible outcomes for patients—not a marketing tactic.” Read the full press release at: https://bit.ly/4ng5pAA Clinical evidence shows femoral heads (hip balls) manufactured from Permallon® Tru demonstrate exceptional performance and durability. Manufactured in an ISO 13485 certified and FDA compliant facility in Grand Junction, CO USA, Permallon® Tru components are registered for use by customers of CoorsTek Bioceramics in multiple countries throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. #Orthopaedics #MedicalDevice #HipReplacement #TechnicalCeramics
