When we partnered with Space Craft to deploy Ridy at Joinery in Charlotte, we knew this was a particularly special project. Space Craft designed Joinery with the thesis that residents should rarely have to use their own cars to get around. Seeing residents embrace a car-light lifestyle is the strongest validation of Space Craft's thesis and our core mission at Ridy (see resident feedback below!). We're grateful for this partnership and look forward to bringing Ridy to more communities that value convenience, well-being, and sustainability! Also a special shoutout to Axios Charlotte for telling this story earlier this year! #ModernLiving #Micromobility #Proptech #ClimateTech #Amenities

  • Walkable cities consistently top the list of the most valuable places globally. Dense, connected, human-scale neighborhoods generate enormous demand, create durable value, and support vibrant local economies. The fundamentals that make walkable places desirable — access, proximity, everyday convenience, and community — are universal. Yet, we saw a problem. Some of the cities experiencing the strongest population and job growth today — cities like Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and Salt Lake City — just aren’t built that way. While traditional suburban development has brought growth, it has done so inefficiently and led to sprawl — introducing car dependence, and losing walkability. We see an opportunity to change that. At Space Craft, we’re building walkable, transit-connected neighborhoods in markets where growth is outpacing traditional development patterns. By introducing the fundamentals that have allowed cities like San Francisco, London, New York City, and Tokyo to thrive, we're able to create a better community for our residents while delivering stronger long-term value for our retailers and investors alike. This is the opportunity in front of us and the future we’re investing in: helping high-growth cities realize their full potential as exceptionally livable, walkable communities. #SpaceCraftCity #UrbanDesign #FutureOfCities #WalkableNeighborhoods

  • Panko Peruvian is now open at Inkwell, and it’s exactly the kind of distinctive, design-forward retail that makes walkable neighborhoods so magnetic. Led by Luis Miguel Soleno & Efraín Aguirre — founders with deep roots in construction, design, and hospitality — Panko brings Peruvian–Japanese Nikkei cuisine, global talent, and the creative energy that’s right at home in NoDa. Restaurants like Panko are a core part of our development approach: curated operators who add culture, texture, and everyday delight to the neighborhood. Walkable neighborhoods only work when there’s something worth walking to. Welcome to the block, Panko. We’re thrilled to have you as part of the Space Craft family! • Thoughtful design pays dividends. At Space Craft, every design decision is intentional—built to elevate both the resident experience and the investment. For us, beauty is simply the byproduct of better systems: • Efficient, all-electric systems that lower operating expenses • Prefabricated CLT panels that reduce construction complexity and elevate quality while bringing warmth and character to apartments • Compact, high-performance unit layouts that optimize livability and allow for greater density • Walkable sites and integrated retail that strengthen long-term value • Distinctive architecture that stands out—driving demand and resilience in competitive markets When design works this hard, everyone benefits: investors and residents alike. It isn’t an exercise in aesthetics—it’s an ROI driver. #SpaceCraftCity #RealEstateDevelopment #DesignMatters #UrbanDesign

  • Last week, Charlotte voted to invest $20 billion in the future of transit. It's not just a win for public transportation — it's a huge step toward a more connected, walkable city. At Space Craft, we think a lot about how transit shapes the places we live and the kind of lives people can lead when their neighborhood is truly connected. 🎙️ On the latest Shaping Charlotte podcast, our CEO, Harrison Tucker, joined hosts Clayton Sealey and Tesho Akindele, as well as Interim Planning Director for the City of Charlotte, Monica Carney Holmes, to discuss transit-oriented development and what it means for the future of cities — and the people who live there. “The fixed rail investment from the city shows the private sector (private equity investors in real estate) that the city is committed, and it makes it easier to draw and attract the resources we need to build.” ▶️ Listen to the full episode, available wherever you get your podcasts →  https://lnkd.in/eEzyuG_h #SpaceCraftCity #ShapingCharlottePod #CharlotteTransit #TransitOrientedDevelopment #UrbanDesign

  • Big milestone for our team — and for the future of Charlotte’s Mill District. Last Friday, along with our partners at Swinerton, we celebrated the topping-out of Cordo — a seven-story community designed to bring walkable, urban living to the heart of the Optimist Park neighborhood. Cordo features 287 apartments and 1,200 SF of retail space, incorporating hybrid mass-timber construction to improve efficiency and reduce embodied carbon. Located beside Cordelia Park (the inspiration for the name "Cordo") and the LYNX Blue Line, Cordo will connect residents to everything they need — including bundled access to EVs, e-bikes, and scooters. Cheers to the teams making it happen, and to what's next. 📍Mill District, Charlotte | 🏗️ Swinerton x Space Craft #SpaceCraftCity #WalkableNeighborhoods #UrbanDesign #CharlotteDevelopment

  • Think walkable, car-lite living only works in cities like New York or San Francisco? Think again. With intentional development, people can get around secondary markets without relying on owning a car. Not just that: ➡️ Swipe to see how shared mobility options like EV carshare, e-bikes, and public transit can save residents money ($7k+ in Charlotte). People want to live in walkable, connected, vibrant communities. There just aren't enough of them. Through our people-centered design and unique amenity set (like 👆 shared mobility options), we’re working to bring that lifestyle to more cities—reducing urban sprawl and allowing more people to experience what makes cities great. #SpaceCraftCity #WalkableNeighborhoods #SharedMobility #ImpactInvesting #FutureOfCities

  • How do you design a neighborhood in motion? Joinery blends contemporary living, thoughtful retail, and community-driven spaces that celebrate Charlotte’s urban fabric. From its walkable location with direct access to the light rail, to its all-electric living, every detail was created to make city life easier, greener, and more inspiring. For Space Craft, Joinery represents what’s next: places built for people and the planet—proof that doing the right thing can also make business sense. 📍NoDa, Charlotte ➡️ Swipe to see how design and purpose come together at Joinery. #SpaceCraftCity #UrbanDesign #Placemaking #RealEstateDevelopment

  • For us, mixed-use is more than just stacking spaces - it’s about creating communities that are their own ecosystem, where every component plays a vital role. At Space Craft, we bring this mindset to every project, using intentional design to foster connections between people, purpose, and place. 👉 Swipe to see how mixed-use creates stronger cities. #SpaceCraftCity #MixedUseDevelopment #WalkableNeighborhoods #FutureOfCities
