🚀 Aeonix Energy, Inc. x Titan Power | Advancing High-Energy Batteries for Drones and eVTOLs We’re excited to announce our collaboration with Titan Power, a leading battery pack manufacturer for drone and eVTOL applications. Titan Power recently validated Aeonix Energy, Inc.’s 10 Ah anode-free lithium-metal cells under real-world drone operating conditions, and the results were outstanding: 🔹 Superior discharge power and thermal management compared to conventional Li-ion cells 🔹 Full compatibility with existing UAV pack architectures Building on these strong results, Aeonix and Titan will: ✅ Optimize pack architecture and thermal design for high-power drone missions ✅ Build demonstration packs for select defense and commercial UAV customers ✅ Establish a long-term supply partnership as Aeonix scales up production This collaboration represents a major milestone for Aeonix, validating our core technology through an industry leader and accelerating the path from cell → pack → drone platform. Last week, our team, represented by Senior Battery Scientist, Dr. Tongtong Li and Senior Mechanical Engineer Nicholas Iacopino, attended UAV Expo in Las Vegas. The purpose of this trip was clear: to listen to our customers, understand their evolving needs, and showcase how our anode-free lithium metal battery technology can enable the next generation of drone and UAV applications. With higher energy density, reduced weight, and enhanced power, our technology is designed to unlock new performance standards for unmanned aerial systems. We thank our partners and new connections for the valuable discussions and look forward to driving these innovations into real-world applications together.

Storagenergy Technologies was honored to kick off the graduate student seminar series at the University of Utah, Department of Chemical Engineering, invited by Prof. John McLennan and Prof. Chuancheng Duan. Dr. Weilin Zhang, our Project Manager & Senior Scientist, delivered a seminar on “Principles, applications, and advances of solid oxide electrochemical devices”, highlighting: · An overview of Storagenergy’s broader R&D efforts in fuel cells, advanced batteries, and critical minerals production · Fundamentals and applications of solid oxide fuel cells as a high-efficiency power generation solution · Storagenergy’s recent progress in #anode-supported cell manufacturing, stack assembly, and testing · Principles and thermodynamics of solid oxide electrolysis cells for hydrogen production, including Faradaic efficiency investigations As part of our long-standing tradition, Storagenergy is committed to sharing knowledge and engaging with the next generation of scientists and engineers. These seminars are an important way to connect classroom learning with real-world industry experience, offering students valuable perspective on how technologies function beyond academia. Last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of visiting Fortem Technologies, a global leader in Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) and airspace security, at their new facility in Lindon, Utah—thanks to the kind invitation from Adam Robertson. It was a highly productive meeting: Fortem’s talented engineers shared insights into their advanced drone technologies and power requirements, while we presented our high-performance battery cell solutions. The discussions around potential collaboration were both engaging and promising. Utah is rapidly emerging as a hub for defense and space innovation, with a growing ecosystem of drone and eVTOL companies. We’re committed to developing high-energy battery cells to meet the critical supply needs of this fast-growing market. In the startup world, tech companies often fall victim to what’s known as the “valley of death” — the gap between technological proof of concept and actual viable product. Aiming to bridge this perilous gap, the NSF Engines: Southwest Sustainability Innovation Engine (SWSIE) announced $1.5 million in its inaugural round of Innovation Grants, which are intended to support the transition from proven model or prototype to commercialization. Eight promising companies received Innovation Grants with technologies that stand to spur economic growth in the desert Southwest. Based in or piloting projects in Arizona, Nevada and Utah, these tech companies are advancing solutions in industries ranging from semiconductor manufacturing and solar power to mining and atmospheric water harvesting. SWSIE received more than 220 applications from 16 states, and applicants underwent a rigorous selection process involving multiple SWSIE partners. “The overwhelming response to this funding opportunity underscores the dire need for investment in technologies at this stage, as well as the broad interest in new solutions for critical resource management,” said Katie Pettinger, SWSIE's chief innovation officer. 🌟 Exciting discussions at Storagenergy Technologies today! 🌟 Storagenergy Technologies were honored to host Prof. Taylor Sparks from the University of Utah and Prof. Shadi Al Khateeb from Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) for an insightful exchange on the role of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the energy industry. Our Project Manager, Dr. Weilin Zhang, hosted the visit and led engaging discussions on how AI/ML can enhance efficiency, innovation, and problem-solving in energy technologies. Additionally, we explored ways to better equip Materials Science and Engineering students with AI/ML skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the industry's evolving demands.
