Now I want to replace some words from it. So I used the code written below:

    if(strstr($sql, "href='")){
        str_replace("href='", 'href="', $sql);
$data = $sql;
fwrite($handle, $data);
    }

But I did not get any result. So please help if there is some wrong I have done.

$sql = str_replace("href='", 'href="', $sql);

try this:

echo preg_replace("/(class|href)='([^']*)'/",'$1="$2"', $sql);

In the variable i have got "class='class Name'", "href='ma.tt/2013/02/new-yahoo-2'" and "title='Marissa Mayer announces the new Yahoo hompage, on a WordPress-powered blog. […]'". Now i want to replace all those with class='class Name' to class="class Name", href='ma.tt/2013/02/new-yahoo-2' to href="ma.tt/2013/02/new-yahoo-2/"and title='Marissa Mayer announces the new Yahoo hompage, on a WordPress-powered blog. […]' to title="Marissa Mayer announces the new Yahoo hompage, on a WordPress-powered blog. […]"
i have updated, please check let me know if you have any problems

The problem is that you don't set the returned value of str_replace() function

if(strstr($sql, "href='")){

    $sql=str_replace("href='", 'href="', $sql);

    $data = $sql;
    fwrite($handle, $data);
}

Review the str_replace documentation at http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.str-replace.php

I'm not entirely sure whether I understood correctly or not, but I think this might be what you are trying to do:

if(strpos($sql, "href='") !== false) ){
    str_replace("href='", 'href="', $sql);
$data = $sql;
fwrite($handle, $data);
}
