At a moment when child deaths may rise for the first time this century, we’re partnering with Qatar’s leadership to invest in interventions that save lives. Today we announced that we would be entering a major new grant agreement and collaboration with Hamad Bin Khalifa University to support the pioneering research led by Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute - QEERI. Also at the Doha Forum, our chair Bill Gates announced a major update in our work with the Qatar Fund for Development. Together, we’re committing $500 million over five years to support health, education, and agriculture programs in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia and help millions of people live healthier, more prosperous lives.

Robinah's story shows how evolutions in science can open new opportunities for mothers living with HIV and their children. In 2024, The Global Fund helped 648,000 mothers with #HIV receive medicine to keep them alive and prevent transmission of the virus to their babies. That's what it looks like to deliver innovation at scale, and why the Global Fund remains one of the best investments we can make today. #WorldAIDSDay
