Our LA team had a lot to celebrate at this year’s Los Angeles Business Council Architectural Awards, with two projects honored for embracing innovative design standards to enhance the community. SUSHISAMBA in West Hollywood won in the under construction category and the Glorya Kaufman Community Center won in the education category. Built to empower the future of healthcare education, the St. Vincent Health Sciences Center at St. John's University has been honored with a Best Higher Education Project Award of Merit by Engineering News-Record East. The $106 million, 70,000-square-foot facility integrates advanced simulation labs, flexible classrooms, and collaborative learning spaces that elevate the University’s health sciences programs. Delivered on an active campus and under an accelerated schedule, the project brings a highly technical, modern academic environment to life—from immersive simulation spaces and specialized clinical training rooms to adaptable learning spaces designed to grow with the University’s expanding programs. The result is a state-of-the-art center that increases capacity, enhances hands-on learning, and advances St. John’s vision for preparing the next generation of caregivers. Today in Rhode Island, we joined officials from the City of East Providence, the School District, the State, and project partners Peregrine Group LLC and Ai3 Architects, LLC to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new $128 million Martin Middle School. This three-story, next-generation learning environment—built alongside the former school—is set to reshape the experience for grades 6–8, with a dedicated floor for each grade, modern classrooms designed for flexible and interactive learning, collaborative spaces that foster teamwork and project-based instruction, cutting-edge science labs, and a new media and arts center. Last week, Pomfret School's new Venue for Innovation, Science, Technology, and Academics (VISTA) building was recognized with the Project Achievement Award – Best Buildings Project Under $25 Million from the CT CMAA - Connecticut Chapter of Construction Management Association of America. Designed to advance the school’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the center doubles the footprint of the original building and anchors the 500-acre campus with state-of-the-art labs, open collaboration spaces, and sweeping valley views. With innovation labs, flexible classrooms, and floor-to-ceiling glass, VISTA transforms how students learn, create, and connect. It’s a powerful hub for science, technology, engineering, and design—and an inspiring space for the Pomfret community to dream big and shape what’s next. Boston’s oldest hotel, the Omni Parker House, has been transformed through a $65 million renovation, preserving its 170-year legacy while introducing thoughtful modern enhancements. The project touched every aspect of the guest experience, from all 551 guest rooms—including 57 suites and the Premier “Legend Suites”—to 23,000 square feet of meeting space, 19 reimagined boardrooms, the Rooftop Ballroom, and the vibrant lobby. Breaking ground in August, the team is well underway on Clearline Real Estate’s 2000 Wynwood, a 12-story, 380,000-square-foot mixed-use development that will bring 310 residential units and 12,500 square feet of retail to Wynwood’s walkable, transit-connected corridor. Resident amenities will include an art studio, fitness center, coworking and conference areas, a courtyard with a pool, and multi-functional space to support connection.  The design prioritizes wellbeing, rightsizing, and energy efficiency, offering a modern approach to community living in a vibrant Miami neighborhood. 🔗 Read more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/exy6yQyY  #ShawmutBuilt
